How to submit materials

  • You may submit the given materials to our colleagues in different ways
  • Uploading it to the ‘attached documents’ field in your request for an offer
  • Via email
  • Using cloud-based storage platforms
  • Via online file-sending sites (for large files)

Naming the documents

  • Please name the documents clearly, without a use of accents
  • If the file has been edited while ordering, please state this in the name of the file (i.e ‘logo_edited’)
  • In the case of several edits, please state the number of edit. (i.e: logo_edited_2)

Structure of document

  • In the case of glue-bound documents, submit the cover in page pair, with the width of the spine give, in a separate file
  • To keep the correct order of pages, the file should contain all (including blank) pages of the material to the printed, in reading order.
  • In the case of brochures, books, notebooks, stapled and glue-bound products, the document should be stitched together by the page

File format

  • The submitted file should have a format of composite 1.3 PDF or PDF X1a
  • Photos should be JPG, EPS, or TIF
  • Large files can be compressed into ZIP

Resolution

  • The documents should have a resolution of at least 300 dpi (dot/inch)
  • In the case of greyscale (black and white) materials, we can accept documents with a resolution of at least 200 dpi
  • The resolution of pictures should be at least 300 dpi

Surface treatment

  • UV polish, blind embossing, spot UV, and other surface treatment options require for the vector image of the surface you want treated to be uploaded as a separate file or separate page of a file. The vector image should have the fitting marks and cutting marks according to the characteristics of the product.
  • In the case of colors made from the pantone scale/ determined by already printed color, the colors should have their purpose in their title, or the document should contain a color guide; a list or chart.

Fonts

The fonts used in the document should be embedded in the file rounded and outlined. Without this, we cannot guarantee the use of the required font.

Bleed

  • Bleed should be a minimum of 3-3 mms.
  • With saddle stitched products, it should be a minimum of 5-5 mms.
  • Depending on different binding styles, the bleed can be larger. Our colleagues will happily assist you in determining the correct size.

Page size

  • The size of the document’s trimbox should be the same as the one stated in the request for an offer
  • The size of the sides should be given with a trim size.
  • The size of the trimbox and the dieline tool should be identical.
  • Depending on the type of the requested product, the bleed and cutting marks might make it bigger.
  • When determining the size of the inner covers, and the first and last page of the text block, please consider that glueing of the text block takes away approx. 7-7 mms. Because of that, what’s printed in this strip will not be visible.

Proof color accuracy

  • Proofs are made with 4-colour printing. Because of this, in the case of Pantone colours, the proofs might not have 100% color accuracy in the similarity to the final product.

Dieline

  • We need the dielines with vectors, complete with the fitting and cutting marks of the order product.
  • They should be shown with the graphic design, on a separate page of the file or in a separate document, as an overprinted color made from the pantone scale/ determined by already printed color

Colour treatment

  • We accept the following colour codes:
    • Europe ISO Coated FOGRA27
    • Europe ISO Coated FOGRA39
    • PSOuncoated_v3_FOGRA52
    • ISOcoated_V2
    • ISO_Uncoated
    • ISO12647
    • PSOcoated_v3
  • Please give the color profiles in CMYK color code
  • In case of Pantone colors, the submitted file should contain the Pantone codes of the chosen colors.
  • We can print black only with 100% black color code
  • In the case of deep black tone printing, a colour code of 30% Cyan, 30% Magenta, 30 % Yellow és 100% K (black) is necessary to achieve the best look.
  • In the case of black and white printing, black elements, line drawings, texts should only appear on the black colour codes.

Cutting mark

Cutting marks should be at least 2 mms from the cut, without touching the area of the bleed.

Guide

CMYK

The final color is achieved by mixing certain percentages of the components of four-color printing - cyan, magenta, yellow and key (black). In some cases, the four colours may be used to achieve a black shade instead of 100%, for a richer, fuller result.

Embossing

Shapes detectable by touch, raised from the plane of the paper, or sunken into it, resulting in a unique three-dimensional effect. Depending on which side of the paper the print is raised on, the two distinct versions of embossing and debossing. This technique is most spectacular in case of prints with less small details (like large signs).

Foil

In the case of surface treatment, matt or glossy foil can be used, depending on what the desired result is. Its primary function is that of protection from wear and dirt. In addition, it enhances the shine of the surface it covers.

Paper products with FSC certificate

Products with a certificate of the FSC organization, from sustainable forestries.

FTP

=File Transfer protocol

It makes file transfers possible between computers using different operating systems. Mostly used to forward graphic designs.

Bleed

The graphic part outside of the cutting size. It makes cutting to size and punching easier post-printing, since, due to the technology, the arcs can only move minimally. Without a bleed, a white strip may remain at the edge of the product.

Offset printing

An ideal choice for high-quality products printed on paper, in black-and white, and in large quantities.

Offset polish

Alongside the aesthetic effect, its main purpose is to protect the product against damage from its environment. Available in matt and glossy versions.

Proof printing

The trial print - also called a ‘proof’ - is a printed simulation of the final product. It ensures achieving the perfect product, since it provides an opportunity  to check color accuracy and potentially make final adjustments before the printing house processes.

RGB

The colors red green and blue define the visible color. Most fit to show colors on digital appliances.

UV polish

Similar to foil in its shine and resistance, but also useful on small details, not just on the entire surface. With it, we can highlift certain elements.

Changing data use

This occurs when a single graphic material has a piece of data (i.e picture, code, serial number) which changes by the card (i.e the code number grows from 1 to 100 on the cards, or each card has a different QR code). The same logo, picture, code, serial number, etc. being shown on every product does not fall under this  category.
